# Load Test Analysis

![analysis-menu](https://api.octoperf.com/doc/analysis/img/analysis-menu.png){ align=left }

The Analysis page lists all your [bench reports](https://api.octoperf.com/doc/analysis/edit-bench-report/). You can get there using *Reports* in the left menu.

<div style="clear:both"></div>

## Reports list

![Analysis](https://api.octoperf.com/doc/analysis/img/analysis.png "Analysis")

For each test report, the list displays:

* Run: the unique result number, in case of a comparison report the unique number of all the contained reports,
* Name,
* Description,
* Report state,
* Tags,
* Alarms,
* A date, chosen from the column header: **Last Activity**, **Last Updated** or **Last Executed**. **Last Executed** shows when the most recent test of the report started.

The list opens sorted on **Last Executed**, most recent first. Like the other lists, it then [remembers the sort](https://api.octoperf.com/doc/navigation/#sorting) you chose.

!!! note
    The unique result number is attached to the test result, not the test report. This means several test reports can share the same unique result Id if they point to the same result.

!!! warning
    This list is not refreshed automatically, if a test in ongoing, you must refresh the page in order to see it's current status/alarms.

!!! info
    Test results recorded before OctoPerf `17.0.0` need their data to be updated once before their report displays values. This happens the first time you open the report - see [Updating report data](https://api.octoperf.com/doc/analysis/update-report-data/).

## Reports List Actions

![report-list-actions](https://api.octoperf.com/doc/analysis/img/report-list-actions.png)

Several actions are available when **you place your mouse over a Report in the list:**

| Action    | Description                                                                  |
|-----------|------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
| Edit      | Opens a Report.                                                              |
| Export | Opens the export report page. |
| Duplicate | Duplicates a Report. You can then edit the duplicated Report. |
| Delete | Removes a Report. This operation cannot be reverted so proceed with caution. |

Select one or several reports with their checkbox to act on all of them at once:

| Action                 | Description                                                                                          |
|------------------------|------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
| Delete Reports | Removes the selected Reports. This operation cannot be reverted so proceed with caution. |
| Export PDFs | From the **⋮** menu: exports every selected Report as PDF, then downloads them together in one zip file. |
| Update tags | From the **⋮** menu: edits the tags of the selected Reports. |

**Export PDFs** exports each report with its own [print settings](https://api.octoperf.com/doc/analysis/export-bench-report/#print-configuration), or the default layout for a report you never configured. The export runs in the background: follow it from the tasks menu at the top of the page, then click the notification to download the zip file.

!!! note
    A report whose data must first be [updated](https://api.octoperf.com/doc/analysis/update-report-data/) is left out of the export. Open it once to update its data, then export it again.

!!! Info
    The search functions are detailed in [this section of the navigation page](https://api.octoperf.com/doc/navigation/#filters).

## Create Bench Report

### Simple Report

The only way to create a bench report is to start a load test. This can be done on the [runtime](https://api.octoperf.com/doc/runtime/) page.

### Comparison Report

To create a comparison report you can click on **New comparison report** and then select the **test results** to compare:

![Compare results](https://api.octoperf.com/doc/analysis/img/compare-results.png "Compare results")

Then a new comparison report is created and you are redirected to it. To know more about comparing results, please consult the [report comparison page](https://api.octoperf.com/doc/analysis/compare-bench-results/).

### Trend report

The Trend report is a special kind of report that can aggregate up to 25 other results into a single place. Check the [Trend report page](https://api.octoperf.com/doc/analysis/trend-bench-results/) for more information.

## Trending Graph

When at least two result exist a trending graph is displayed:

![Trending](https://api.octoperf.com/doc/analysis/img/trending.png "Trending")

This graph shows basic information on the selected test reports.

!!! tip
    You can click on a result in the trend chart to select the latest report using it in the list.
